For years, the subject of my art has been the unfairness of things. This series, Conversations, takes a different direction. It has given me an opportunity to find pleasure in the act of examining and painting beautiful, familiar objects. The fields of the pattern paintings are fabrics rugs, clothes from my house, my friends, my past. They represent the intimate and comfortable par of my life – family, friends, home. Conversation is the heat with which relationships are forged. These pictures come from those relationships.
